US Senate Candidate Rep Krystle Matthews

We are excited to share that US Senate candidate, Rep Krystle Matthews, will be coming to Greenwood next week for a meet & greet fundraiser! We need good people to fight our collective fight against the likes of Tim Scott and for the good people of South Carolina. Please turn out to support Rep. Matthew’s campaign!

The suggested donation amount is $50 but anyone is welcome to attend regardless of their ability to contribute financially. If we want to attract good Democratic candidates we need to do our part and show out in force to support them! If you cannot attend but would like to donate to her campaign, you can do so securely via the link below. Thank you!

Final “Virtual” Breakfast Meeting this Saturday

Our final Virtual Breakfast Meeting (at least for this pandemic) will be THIS SATURDAY, June 5, at 9 am.

Check out the powerful lineup of speakers below who will inform and inspire us. Then sign up right away so that you can receive connection information and email reminders when the Breakfast draws near.

Tune in a few minutes ahead of time so that you don’t miss a minute!

SC Representative Krystle Matthews will share with us her story, what motivated her to become politically involved, and how she can take on Senator Tim Scott in 2022.

Emily Mayer is a teacher and activist from Bluffton, SC who has been a strong advocate for youth and educators in SC. Recently, she testified in front of an SC Senate panel. Hear about that experience and more from this rising star in SC politics.

Cheryl and Eric Morton are active voices in the Greenwood Community. Cheryl is the host of Finding Me Podcast on WarRap Radio and Eric is the Senior Pastor at Marshall Chapel Baptist Church. They have quite different views about political activism and share the conversations they have at the dinner table – conversations which happen in households all over the country!

Councilwoman Edith Childs joins us for a quick update about an exciting new public service that is coming to Greenwood County.

Denise Waldrep, former GWCDP 1st Vice Chair and candidate for SC House, shares one final legislative update with us. It’s been a wild year in SC politics and we thank Denise for keeping us informed in an easy-to-understand manner!

Finally, GWCDP Chair Bill Kimler will provide Party updates, review upcoming events, and announce June’s Volunteer of the Month.

Once again, sign up today and join us this Saturday!
