Greenwood County Democratic Party

Mike Burgess is a teacher for the Center for Law and Global Policy Development at River Bluff High School in Lexington, South Carolina. A lifelong American Revolution historian and resident of South Carolina, Mr. Burgess has received numerous awards for his work including the 2023 South Carolina History Teacher of the Year from the prestigious Gilder Lehrman Foundation.

He spoke with us about current events in the nation and in #SouthCarolina in the context of the Revolutionary War.

His engaging manner and ability to weave a tale made Mike one of the most interesting speakers to grace Greenwood, SC!

Greenwood native, Ishan Lal, spoke with us from the perspective of a university student in Washington DC. He has interned for both Congressman Jim Clyburn and DNC chair, Jaime Harrison.

Francie provides us with updates about her campaign and the dives into the issues that are important to her and to the voters of Greenwood County.
